As part of the media surge strategy in Yavapai County, BTCD Chief Wayne Tormala visited several media outlets in Prescott to discuss the ASHLine and how it can help the residents of Yavapai County. With Yavapai having a higher than average smoking rate, this was a perfect target for the media surge. In addition to discussing the benefits of the ASHLine, Wayne talked about some of the newer trends in tobacco use such as hookah & e-cigarettes.
AHCCCS eligible residents are encouraged to call because they can receive free benefits such as medication & various nicotine replacement therapies (NRT) including but not limited to the patch, gum & lozenge.
In addition, Wayne was joined by Carol Lewis, Program Manager for the Yavapai County Tobacco-Free Partnership in Prescott, as she discussed local options for tobacco users looking to quit.
