TUCSON, Ariz. — Want to quit smoking? There’s an app for that.  A new Facebook app “Call it Quits” claims to have proven strategies to help smokers quit.

“What it will allow you to do is set up a profile and lets you set goals for yourself for quitting,” said Director of Arizona Smokers Helpline Steven Michael.  “It’s got some resources in it, it let’s you set up a support group so that if you need some support you can just quickly go to that page and press the number it will call them.  It allows you to call your ash line quit coach if you want to.”

The app will also be available for the iPhone later this year. Its introduction helps commemorate the American Cancer Society’s “Great American Smokeout” Thursday.

Can I simply say what a comfort to find a person that actually understands what they are discussing on the net. You actually know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people must read this and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that you’re not more popular given that you certainly possess the gift.
