Program managers and staff from Apache, Coconino, La Paz, Mohave, Navajo and Yavapai met in Flagstaff on Monday September 23rd at the Northern County regional meeting. The was the first meeting in six years. The meeting kicked off with a presentation by Jason Marsee, brother of Sean Marsee who died of oral cancer complications at age 18 in 1982. There was also a memorial presentation for longtime anti-smoking advocate and Tucson native David Briick who passed away this June.
The meeting included chronic disease updates from Pima County as well as the other partners in attendance. The highlight of the morning was the networking poster session presented by each county in attendance.

The afternoon kicked off with an adult track session focusing on ASHLine, CDSMP and Policy. A youth track session ran concurrently focusing on youth coalition work, school health and youth diversion/merchant education. The meeting was hosted and planned by Coconino County with additional facilitators from Navajo County, Pima County and the Attorney General’s Office.
There are already plans for the 2014 edition which will be hosted by Yavapai County.
